heres how i sovled it: total average speed = 9km/h
i know its xkm/h and then x+2/h so i know im looking for a number when added two and iself gives nine that number here is 8. the average of 8 and 10 is 9 so... halelujah... baby gurl.

5km --- x + 2km/hr
4km --- x
Cross multiply
4x + 8 = 5x
x = 8 km/hr
