My Solution:
Let x= son's present age
3x=Father's present age
x-5= son's age five years ago
3x-5= Father's age five years ago

x-5+3x-5=110
4x-10=110
4x=110+10
4x=120

x= 30 ( son's age now)
x-5
30-5= 25 (son's age five years ago)

3x= Father's age now
3(30)
90 = (Father's age now)

3x-5 =(Father's age five years ago)
3(30)-5
90-5

85 = (Father's age five years ago)

Therefore, the Father's age now is:
90 (ANSWER).

Just -5 from each option then check numbers divisible by 3 [options C or D]
• Using option C: 98-5= 93
= 93÷3= 31
5 yrs ago= Father's age to son's age = 93: 31
Add 5 to both sides=> 98 and 36
=> 98+36 = 134 ❌

• Using option D: 80-5=75
=75÷3=25
5 yrs ago= Father's age to son's age = 75:25
Add 5 to both sides=> 80 and 30
=> 80+30 = 110 ✅
