Y is the total amount
y is the total no. of days
X is the spent amount for a day
x is the number of spent days
The amount to be spent per day for the remaining days is = remaining amount divided by remaining days
Remaining amount = Y - Xx ( because X is the amount spent for 1 day but Xx is the amount spent for x days)
Remaining days = y - x
Therefore the answer is Y - Xx ÷ y - x

Amount to spend per day for remaining days = remaining amount/remaining days
Remaining amount = total amount - amount spent
Total amount =Y cedis
amount spent=X cedis
Amount remaining =Y-X
Days remaining = Total days/Days spent
= y-X
therefore amoun to spend for remaining days= Y - X / y - x
Which supposed to be D
