people x time = 1 field

people = (4boys + 10girls)
time = 5hrs

(4b + 10g) × 5 = 1

if 1 boy = 5/4g

(4x5/4g + 10g) × 5 = 1
15g × 5 = 1
75g = 1
g = 1/75

to find b:

remember b = 5/4g
b = 5/4 × 75
b = 1/60

Now calculate how many boys will be needed for 3 hrs

people × hours = 1 field
x(boys) × 3 = 1
x • 1/60 • 3 = 1
x • 1/20 = 1
x = 20
