What percentage of observation lie outside interquartile range of any distribution?

To find the percentage observation we subtract the highest quartile that is 75% from the lowest quartile 25% to get 50%. Then to find the percentage that lie outside the observation we subtract the total percentage 100% from the percentage of observation 50%, to give 100-50=50%.
