2x+y=7 = i
3x-2=3= ii
multiply eq i by 2 and add eq ii
2x+y=7
×. 2
=4x+2y=14
+3x-2y=3
7x. =17= iii
Divide eq ii from eq iii
3x-2y=3/7x=17
7x =17×1/7×7
7x=17/7×7
7x=17
and in the question they said by how much is 7x greater than 10.
so 17-10=7.
