2x²-5x+63=0
(2×63=126)
(2x²-14x) (9x+63)=0
2x(x-7) 9(x-7)=0
(2x+9) (x-7)
2x+9=0 x-7=0
X=-9/2 X=7
X=-4.5 or X=7
so the answer is 7 and not 21

The correct option is A

Working

let the unknown integer be X

first statement => 5*X = 5x

second statement => x *x = 2x.

Third statement => 5x - 2x = 63

3x = 63

x = 21.

Test

5x - 2x = 63, putting the value of x

5(21) - 2(21) = 63

105 - 42 = 63

63 = 63

LHS = RHS...

Thanks.....

The answer is A. 5 multiplied by the integer and then subtracted from the multiplication of 2 x the integer should should give 63. Therefore, the answer is 21.

Let the integer be x

5x-2x=63

3x=63

x=63/3

x=21.
