The formula for A.P is Tn=a+(n-1)d
where
Tn= nth term
a= first term
n= number of terms
d= common difference

To solve for the common difference:
2nd term - 1st term = -1-(-3)= 2

Tn=a+(n-1)d

T8= -3+(8-1)2
= -3+(7)2
= -3+14
= 11
