A straight line makes an angle of 30° with the positive x-axis and cuts the y-axis at y = 5. Find the equation of the straight line.
y = (x/10) + 5
y = x + 5
√3y = - x + 5√3
√3y = x + 5√3

cos 30 is not √3,
The explanation would have been right if it was tan30 not cos 30

Pls, there are two photos there 👆, the answer they gave is not correct in the sense that the question told us that the straight line makes an angle of 30° to the 'POSITIVE X-AXIS' and cuts the y-axis at 5, meaning that the line falls on the top-right side of the cartesian plane since both x and y are positive. The explanation given would have been correct if the line makes an angle of 30 with the negative x-axis.

Greetings
I find the explanation for this question hard to understand,I wish this correction can be simplified.
I also want to give you guys a thumbs up for the great development.
Best regards,
Alexander
