it is very easy
you will bring out the two equation that is
y=px raise to the power of two +q...(i)
y=2x raise to the power of two -1...(ii)
when x=2(the intersect)
y=2(2) raise to the power of two +q=
y=4p +q...(iii)
do the same thing for equation (ii)
y=7
when y is 7
replace it in equation iii
y=4p+q i.e
7=4p+q
they say fine the value of p in terms of q
i.e find the subject value of p i.e p=7-q divided by 4
that is the final answer
