  • Standard Requirement: Two (2) 'A' Level passes, including Economics.

AAU (Ambrose Alli University)

Accepts any of the following:

  • B.Sc, BA, or HND in other related programmes.

  • ND with an Upper Credit in Accounting.

  • Foundation pass of ICAN.

AJAYI

  • Requires an 'A' Level pass in Accounts, or accepts ND in Accounting, Banking & Finance, or Business Management.

  • For Business Administration: Accepts 'A' Level (or equivalent) in Economics plus one (1) of the following: Business Management, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Geography, or Government. (Must also meet 'O' Level requirements in English and Math).

BINGHAM

  • Requires an 'A' Level pass in Accounts.

  • Accepts ND in Accounting, Banking & Finance, or Business Management.

BIU (Benson Idahosa University)

  • Requires a minimum of two (2) relevant subjects passed at 'A' Level, OR NCE with three (3) merits, OR an ND at Credit level in a relevant programme (in addition to standard 'O' Level requirements).

CUAB (Crescent University, Abeokuta)

Accepts any of the following:

  • Two (2) 'A' Level passes to include Mathematics and either Economics or Account.

  • IJMB at acceptable grades.

  • NCE at Credit level, or ND at Lower Credit level (or approved equivalent) for admission to the appropriate level.

ILORIN (University of Ilorin)

  • For Accounting: Requires at least three (3) 'A' Level passes (minimum grade 'C' / 12 Points total) including Accounting and at least one of: Mathematics, Business Management, Economics, Statistics, Geography, or Government.

  • For Finance: Requires 'A' Level passes (minimum grade 'C' / at least 12 Points total) including Accounting and one of: Mathematics, Business Management, Economics, Statistics, Geography, or Government.

  • Diploma/HND/ND Options for Accounting/Finance:

    • UNILORIN Diploma in Accounting and Data Processing with an Upper Credit.

    • HND with a minimum of a Lower Credit.

    • ND in Accountancy with an Upper Credit, OR ND with a Lower Credit plus ICAN (ATS).

    • ICAN (ACA).

  • For Business Administration: Accepts ND with an Upper Credit in Business Studies or Business Management.

JOS (University of Jos)

Accepts any of the following paths:

  • Path A ('A' Level/IJMB): Two (2) Principal passes and one (1) Subsidiary pass in any of: Principles of Accounts, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Government, or Commerce. (Must also have 3 'O' Level UTME credits in subjects other than the ones passed at 'A' Level/IJMB).

  • Path B (ND/HND): Minimum of a Lower Credit from a recognised institution in: Business Administration, Accounting, Accounting/Auditing, Banking, Finance, Marketing, Purchasing and Supply, Actuarial Science/Insurance, Secretarial Administration, Office Management, Psychology, Public Administration, Catering & Hotel Management, Statistics, or Financial Studies. (HND candidates must also have 5 'O' Level credits).

  • Path C (NCE): A Merit pass in any of: Business Education, Mathematics/Economics, Geography/Economics, Secretarial Studies, or Financial Studies.

  • Path D (Professional): Passes in professional courses, including ICAN, CIB, ACIS, ACCA, NIM, CMA, or the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Nigeria.

LASU (Lagos State University)

⚠️Critical Note: ND/HND is not admissible for Direct Entry. Admission is based strictly on 'A' Level subject combinations:

  • Public Administration: Two (2) 'A' Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography, and Statistics.

  • Marketing & Business Administration: Two (2) 'A' Level passes chosen from Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography, Business Methods, and Economics.

  • Accounting: Two (2) 'A' Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, and Mathematics.

  • Insurance: Two (2) 'A' Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography, and Statistics.

UNN (University of Nigeria, Nsukka)

Accepts the following for a 3-year Direct Entry programme:

  • Two (2) 'A' Level passes (or equivalent) in any of: Government, History, Economics, Business Management, Accounting, and Geography (plus UTME requirements).

  • ND from recognised institutions in Law, Secretarial Studies, or equivalents (plus UTME requirements).

  • HND at Lower Credit from recognised institutions (plus UTME requirements)
