SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) UNIPORT For Science Laboratory Technology PHC requires Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics OR Biology, Chemistry and Physics
(ii) For Science Laboratory Technology, FUTO requires Chemistry and any two (2) of Biology, Physics and Mathematics.
(iii) EKSU requires Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics / Mathematics
(iv) MAUTECH requires Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics for both Microbiology and Science Laboratory Technology.
O'level Requirements
Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) UNIBEN for Science Laboratory Technology requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and any two (2) of Biology, Physics, Agricultural Science and Geography, depending on the option chosen by the candidate. Candidates opting for Physic/Electronics, Petrochemical Geology and Physiology/Pharmacology Techniques must have 'O' Level credit pass in Physics
(ii) FUTO requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in not more than two (2) sittings
(iii) EKSU – For Science Laboratory Technology it requires five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and any other two subjects from the following: Biology or Agricultural Science and Physics. A pass in physics may be considered for Biotechnology/Biological Option
(iv)UNIPORT accepts Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
(vi) MAUTECH accepts Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
Direct Entry Requirements
Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any one from Biology, Zoology or Botany
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) UNIPORT - accepts Two (2) A/level GCE or HSC or IJMB or JUPEB passes in Chemistry and Physics including UTME entry requirements. OND (Upper Credit) in Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) from NBTE recognized Institutions including UTME entry requirements.
(ii) UNIBEN for Science Laboratory Technology in addition to UTME requirements may accepts at least two advance level passes in the General Certificate of Education (G.C.E.) or Higher School Certificate (HSC) or its recognized equivalents at not more than two sittings. The subjects should be of the Sciences.
(iii) EKSU – For Science Laboratory Technology it requires two (2) A Level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) from Biology, Zoology or Botany.
(iv) FED-LAFIA accepts in addition to UTME requirements, DE candidates must have any of the following: IJMB: Minimum of 9 points in Biology and any two of Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics. GCE A’ Level: with Credit pass in Biology or Botany and at least two from Chemistry Mathematics and Physics; ND: Lower credit in Science Lab. Tech and Food Technology; HND: In either Microbiology, Biotech or Biochemistry. NCE: Merit with Credit Pass in Integrated Science
(v) For Science Laboratory Technology MAUTECH accepts Two (2) A level passes in Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Mathematics. ND/HND in Laboratory Technology or Equivalent at credit Level.
