In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Pure Chemistry under the Faculty of Sciences in the above listed universities include;
Chemistry and two (2) of Physics, Biology and Mathematics
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Pure Chemistry;
You require;Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) UNICAL requires 'O' Level credit pass in Physics /Mathematics. CALABAR accepts 'O' Level D7 in English and one (1) of Mathematics or Biology
(ii) EKSU accepts ND upper credit.
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Pure Chemistry, if you don't intend to use UTME.
You require;(i) Two (2) 'A' level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) of Physics, Mathematics or Biology
(ii) ND/NCE with good grades in relevant 'O' level subjects.

(i) EKSU Do not accept Biology
(ii) UDU accept NCE Chemistry major
