Subject Combination JAMB UTME Requirements

Mathematics, Physics and one (1) of Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics and Geography

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) FUTA requires Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics

(ii) AUN requires Maths, Chemistry and any one of Physics, Biology or Geography for both Information Systems and Software Engineering.

O'level Requirements

Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two (2) other Science subjects

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) FUTA requires five (5) 'O' Level credit pass at not more than two (2) sittings including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry plus one (1) other Science subject

(ii) FUTA requires five (5) SSCE credit passes or its equivalent at a maximum of two (2) sittings in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology/ Agricultural Science.

(iii) BUK accepts five (5) SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, plus three of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Agriculture or Economic

 

Direct Entry Requirements

The direct entry requirements for Software Engineering in the Faculty of Sciences are as follows:

(i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in science subjects including Mathematics

(ii) NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) other Science or Social Science subject.

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i)   FUTO requires;

a)             At least two ‘A’ level passes not below Grade C in Mathematics and Physics.

b)             ND/HND at Upper Credit level in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Geology or Engineering.

c)             First Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Geology or Engineering.

d)             Very good passes in three (3) JUPEB subjects namely Chemistry, Physics and  Mathematics. It does not accept NCE. Candidates must in addition meet the ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(ii)   BOWEN accepts 'A' Level /IJMB/NCE/ND or approved equivalent in Mathematics and any    one (1) of Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Statistics and Physics.

(iii)    BUK accepts;

(a)           ND in Computer Science or Computer Studies, NCE in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics.

(b)           HND in relevant programmes: Computer Science, Graphics, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical/Electronics.

(c)           B.Sc. Degree Natural Science, Physical Science, & Environmental Science.

 

(iii) AL-HIKMAH accepts two (2) 'A' Level passes in Mathematics and Physics and accepts ND/HND lower credit in Data processing and Computer Science from recognized institutions.

 

(iv) AUN accepts

(a)       'A' Level passes chosen from English Language, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Literature in English, Government, History, Economics, Geography, Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Visual Arts, Computer Studies, Information Technology, Civics, and French.

(b)       does not accept 'O' Level credit passes in the                 following; Agriculture, Food and Nutrition, Home Economics, Home Craft, Home management, Physical Education, Physical and Health Education, Music, Commerce, Accounting, Financial Accounting, Book `Keeping, Islamic History, Religious Studies, Tajweed, Library Studies, Diction, Kiswahili, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Arabic, Turkish, Study skills.

(c)       accepts ICGSE and 'A' Level Cambridge and does not offer admissions direct to 200 level. May transfer credits relevant to its major at the discretion of the Dean of school.

 

(v)     FUTA accepts

(a)      two (2) A' Level passes with minimum of C grade in Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry; or

(b)       at least Upper Credit pass in ND in Computer Science from a recognised Polytechnic or its equivalent; or.

(c)       NCE with at least credit pass both in Computer Science/Mathematics; Computer Science/Physics or Mathematics/Physics.
