Optometry can be studied under the Medical, Pharmaceutical & Health Sciences in the following Nigerian Universities;

In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Optometry under the Faculty of Medical, Pharmaceutical & Health Sciences in the above listed universities include;
Physics, Chemistry and Biology
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(i) FUTO requires Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
ii) UNILORIN requires Biology, Chemistry and Physics
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Optometry;
You require;Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
i) FUTO requires at least five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology in not more than two (2) sittings.
ii) UNILORIN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes at one sitting in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Optometry, if you don't intend to use UTME.
You require;‘A' level passes in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Zoology.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(i) ABSU awards Doctor of Optometry (O.D) and accepts B.Sc in relevant programme, HND/ND of Opthalmonic and Dispensing
(ii) FUTO requires;
a) At least three ‘A’ level passes not below Grade C in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
b) HND at Upper Credit level in health sciences.
c) First Degree with at least second Class lower Division in health sciences.
d) Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects namely Chemistry, Biology and Physics. It does not accept NCE. Candidates must in addition meet the ‘O’ Level requirements..
(iii) UNILORIN accepts UTME qualifications plus A’ Level passes in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. At least 13 Points
