Islamic / Sharia Law can be studied under the Law in the following Nigerian Universities;
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Islamic / Sharia Law under the Faculty of Law in the above listed universities include;
Any three (3) Arts or Social Science subjects including Arabic or Islamic Studies
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) ABU requires Arabic or Islamic Studies and any other two Arts or Social Science subjects.
(ii) UNIMAID requires any three from Government, Economics, Geography or Arts subjects including Arabic or Islamic Studies.
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Islamic / Sharia Law;
You require;Five (5)'O' Level credit passes in Arts or Social Sciences to include English Language and Islamic Studies or Arabic.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) KSU requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Literature in English and three (3) other relevant Arts, Social Science, or Science subjects.
(ii) ABU requires Five ‘O’ Level Credit passes which must include English Language, Arabic Language/Islamic Studies and any other three Arts or Social Science Subjects
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Islamic / Sharia Law, if you don't intend to use UTME.
You require;Two ‘A’ level passes to include Islamic Studies or Arabic
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) ABU accepts Two ‘A’ Level/IJMB passes in IRK/Arabic and any other Arts or Social Science subjects ABU Diploma in Shari’ah and Civil Law with at least Merit Grade
