ABU accepts Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
O'level Requirements
Five SSCE credit passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language and any other Science subjects
SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) UNIJOS – requires two (2) 'A' Level or IJMB passes from Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Accepts ND credit in Civil Engineering or related programmes from a recognised institution. Accepts 'O' Level credit pass in Mathematics. (All credits at one sitting).
(ii) FUTA requires five (5) SSC credit passes or its equivalent at a maximum of two (2) sittings in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject.
(iii) ABU requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject.
Direct Entry Requirements
(i) 'A' Level passes in any two (2) of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(ii) ND (upper credit) in Mining Engr./ Mineral Resources and Geological Study in addition to 'O' level requirements
SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) FUTA accepts;
a) OND at Upper Credit Level or its equivalent in Mining or Mineral Resources Engineering or related discipline from recognised institutions ; or
b) Good passes in Advanced Level of General Certificate of Education or its equivalent in at least two of the following: Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
(ii) UNIJOS requires two (2) 'A' Level or IJMB passes in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Accepts ND credit in Mining Engineering/Mineral Resources Engineering or related programmes from a recognised institution. Accepts 'O' Level credit pass in Mathematics.
(iii) ABU requires
a. ‘A’ level/ IJMB Passes in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
b. ND in Metallurgical nad Materials Engineering or related field with Upper Credit.
c. HND in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or related field with minimum of Lower Credit.
