O'level Requirements

Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Fine Art, Mathematics, Chemistry. Spinning; Weaving; Surface Design and Printing; Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing; Ceramics; Graphic Design; Graphic Printing; Decorative Painting, Spray Painting, Lining, Sign & Design, Wall Hanging, Colour Mixing/Matching and Glazing, Building/Engineering Drawing, General Wood Work.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

ABU requires  five “O” level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and any other relevant Science subject.

Direct Entry Requirements

The direct entry requirements for Glass Technology in the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology are as follows:

(i) ‘A’ level passes in Two of Fine Arts, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
(ii) ND in Industrial Design or Glass Technology or Fine Art at Credit


SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) ABU accepts For Glass Technology;

a. Two ‘A’ level /IJMB passes in Chemistry and any one of Mathematics, Physics and Geology.

b. ABU Diploma in Glass Technology and Science Laboratory Technology with at least a Merit.

c. ND in Glass Technology, Glass Ceramics, Ceramics, Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) Chemistry/Biochemistry, Mining/Minerals Processing, Chemical/Mechanical/ Electrical /Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering and any other related Course at Upper Credit Level from a recognized Institution or Polytechnic.
