ABU requires For Industrial Design; Fine Arts and any two (2) subjects. For Glass Technology; Chemistry, Physics and any other Science Subject
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Glass Technology;
You require;Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Fine Art, Mathematics, Chemistry. Spinning; Weaving; Surface Design and Printing; Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing; Ceramics; Graphic Design; Graphic Printing; Decorative Painting, Spray Painting, Lining, Sign & Design, Wall Hanging, Colour Mixing/Matching and Glazing, Building/Engineering Drawing, General Wood Work.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
ABU requires five “O” level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and any other relevant Science subject.
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Glass Technology, if you don't intend to use UTME.
You require;(i) ‘A’ level passes in Two of Fine Arts, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
(ii) ND in Industrial Design or Glass Technology or Fine Art at Credit
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) ABU accepts For Glass Technology;
a. Two ‘A’ level /IJMB passes in Chemistry and any one of Mathematics, Physics and Geology.
b. ABU Diploma in Glass Technology and Science Laboratory Technology with at least a Merit.
c. ND in Glass Technology, Glass Ceramics, Ceramics, Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) Chemistry/Biochemistry, Mining/Minerals Processing, Chemical/Mechanical/ Electrical /Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering and any other related Course at Upper Credit Level from a recognized Institution or Polytechnic.
