 ABU requires Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

O'level Requirements

Five SSCE credit passes including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English Language.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) ABU requires five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject. (Including Economics, Technical Drawing, Metalwork and Woodwork). 

(ii) RSU accepts five (5) 'O' Level credit passes to include English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics or Further Mathematics and any other subject.

(iii) UNN – requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, at not more than two (2) sittings.

(iv) NMU requires five (5) credits at SSCE or its equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science/Further Mathematics/Data Processing/Technical Drawing.

(v) UNIPORT requires the fifth ‘O’ level credit pass in any Science subject preferably Further Mathematics.

Direct Entry Requirements

The direct entry requirements for Electrical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology are as follows:

(i) ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and Physics.

(ii) ND/HND in Elect Eng. Upper/Lower credit respectively.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

 

(i) ABU accepts:
a) Two A level/IJMB passes which must include Physics and Mathematics.

b) ND or equivalent in Electrical Eng. or relevant field, with a minimum of Upper Credit from an accredited institution.

c) HND with at least lower credit in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.

ABU Diploma in Computer Engineering with a Minimum of Merit.

(ii) UNIABUJA accepts HND lower credit or ND upper credit in Electrical Engineering from accredited institutions plus UTME requirements into 200 level 

(iii) UNIPORT – No Direct Entry.

(vii) RSU in addition to 'O' Level requirements accepts:
(a) HND (Lower Credit) in relevant discipline.
(b) OND/ND (Upper Credit) in relevant disciplines.
(c) At least three (3) ‘A’ level passes at GCE in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

(viii) UNN – accepts:
a) 'A' Level passes in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics plus UTME requirements.
b) HND/ND/NCE in relevant programmes
c) complete pass in Intermediate ICAN examination or equivalent
d) Pass in final examinations of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries
