EBSU: offers this course with options in
1. Building/Wood-works Technology
2. Agriculture Education
3. Electrical/Electronics Technology
4. Mechanical/Metalwork Technology
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Vocational and Technical Education under the Faculty of Education in the above listed universities include;
Subjects of specialization and Mathematics or Physics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) BSU requires any three (3) from Mathematics or Physics and Chemistry, Geography.
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Vocational and Technical Education;
You require;Five (5) SSC credit passes in NTC, City and Guilds Part I or WAEC Technical and Federal Craft Training Certificate including English Language, Mathematics, Technical
Drawing, Physics, subject of specialization.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) EKSU accepts a pass in NCE General English in lieu of 'O' Level credit pass in English Language.
(ii) UNIOSUN requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in relevant subjects or their equivalents at not more than two (2) sittings in addition to an acceptable score in the UTME.
(iii) EBSU requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes for Technology Option in English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and two (2) other Science subjects. For
Agriculture Option, five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Agriculture Science and two (2) other relevant subjects and ‘O’ Level pass in
Chemistry.
(iv) AAU accepts 'O' Level pass in Mathematics for Secretarial Education.
(v) BSU requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two (2) of Chemistry, Geography, Technical Drawing, Woodwork,
Metalwork, Building Technology or Electrical Technology.
(vi) ESUT requires:
a) For Technical Education, five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and two (2) other relevant subjects.
b) For Accounting/Commerce and Cooperative, five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics or Commerce and Principle of Accounts, plus one (1) other relevant subject.
c) For Agriculture, five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Chemistry, Agricultural Science or Geography and one (1) other relevant subject.
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Vocational and Technical Education, if you don't intend to use UTME.
You require;(i) NCE merit in Technical Education.
(ii) ND in Mechanical/Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) TASUED accepts National Technical Teachers’ Certificate (NTTC) in Education with passes in City and Guilds and Federal Craft Training Certificate equivalent.
(ii) AAU accepts:
(a) A pass in General English at NCE levels as an equivalent of 'O' Level credit pass in English Language.
(b) AAU accepts NCE merit in Home Economics.
(c) Accepts Economics/Commerce for Accounting Education; Agriculture and one (1) other Science subject for Agriculture Education while Biology or any other Science
subject is required for Home Economics.
(d) 'O' Level pass in Mathematics is acceptable in Secretarial Education.
(iii) BSU awards B.Sc Ed Technology.
(iv) UNIOSUN accepts candidates with any of the following qualification:
(a). Two (2) passes in relevant subjects at ‘A’ Level with ‘O’ Level credit passes in three (3) other subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.
(b). Three (3) passes in relevant subjects at ‘A’ Level with 'O' Level credit passes in two (2) other subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.
(c). NCE merit in two (2)relevant subjects ‘O’ Level credit passes or its equivalent in three (3) subjects, including English Language.
(v) BSU accepts NCE, ANTC, ND with credit passes in SSC, NTC, City and Guilds and WAEC Technical with credit passes in Federal Craft certificate.
(vi) EBSU accepts HND, NCE and ND merit and upper credit respectively in the relevant programme.
