Secretarial Education can be studied under the Education in the following Nigerian Universities;
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Secretarial Education under the Faculty of Education in the above listed universities include;
Economics and any two (2) Social Science subjects.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) IAUE accepts Arts subjects.
(ii) UNIBEN requires Economics or Commerce and any two (2) other Arts or Social Science subjects.
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Secretarial Education;
You require;Five (5) SSC credit to include English Language, Economics and any two(2) of Government, Geography/Physics , Accounting, Business Methods, History, Shorthand, Mathematics, Commerce, Principles of Accounts, Office Practice AND Secretarial Duties.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) IAUE accepts WAEC commercial RSA II Certificate. infive (5) subjects including English Language. Does not require a credit pass in Economics.
(ii) UNIBEN requires Economics or Commerce but does not accept Principles of Accounts, Office Practice and Secretarial Duties.
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Secretarial Education, if you don't intend to use UTME.
You require;(i) NCE Business Education Social Studies Secretarial Education Major.
(ii) Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Business Method and any other Social Science subject and 'O' level pass in Mathematics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) IAUE accepts ND in Secretarial Studies with four(4) ‘O’ Level credits passes in relevant subjects.
(ii) UNIBEN requires two(2) merit in NCE including Business Method Social Studies, Secretarial Education major plus three(3) 'O’ level credit passes including English Language at one (1) sitting.
(iii) BASU accepts NCE pass with five (5) years teaching experience.
