Subject Combination JAMB UTME Requirements

Economics, Mathematics and one (1) other Social Science/Arts subject.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARK

(i) TASUED - Mathematics, Government and any other relevant subject from Arts and Social Science or Science.

(ii) UI requires English Language, the subject of specialisation and one (1) each from Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences.

(iii) NDU accepts Social Sciences subjects.

(iv) LASU requires candidates' teaching subject or any other subject where the candidates' teaching subject is Economics.

(v) UNIBEN accepts for  a. Management Economics: Economics, Mathematics and one other Social Sciences/Arts Subject. b. Management Political Science and Public Administration: Government or History, one (1) Social Science subject and any other subject. 

(vi)UNIZIK accepts any three (3) subjects

(vii) UNILORIN requires English and any three (3) others in Art/Social Sciences/Science subjects.

(viii) EKSU requires Economics, Mathematics and one (1) other Social Science/Arts subject.

(ix) RSUST requires English Language, and any three relevant subjects in Arts, Science and Social Science.

(x) SSU requires Any three (3) Subjects.

O'level Requirements

Same as in Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counseling.

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARK

 

(i) TASUED requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes at one (1) sitting or six (6) 'O' Level credit passes at two (2) sittings including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and other subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences.

(ii) UI requires five(5) 'O' Level credit passes at one (1) sitting to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and other subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences.

(iii) AAUA requires five ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two subjects.

(iv) UNILORIN accepts five (5) ‘O’ Level credits in GCE/SSCE/NECO/ TCII/ Equivalent, to include English Language, Mathematics, and any three other Arts/Social Science/ Science subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.

(v) LASU requires a credit pass in the candidate’s teaching subject. The teaching subjects are Economics, Geography, Political Science Government, Business Administration or Business Studies and Accounting.

(vi) BSU accepts GR II Teachers Certificate with credit/merit in five (5) subjects including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings.

(vii) EKSU: Candidates must possess at least five credit passes at not more than two sittings which must include English, Mathematics and Economics/Commerce. n addition to the general requirements, candidates applying for EMT/Geography must have O'level credit pass in Geography.

(viii) RSU requires Five(5) WASC/SSCE/GCE/NECO, NABTEB, ‘O’Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce, Accounting or any other relevant subject.

(xvi) SSU requires Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any other three subjects at not more than two sittings.

Direct Entry Requirements

The direct entry requirements for Educational Management in the Faculty of Education are as follows:

Same as in Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counseling.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARK

 

(i) UI does not accept TC II after 1981. It also requires 'O' Level credit pass in Mathematics for all Science based combinations and Economics while 'O' Level pass in Mathematics is required for Social Sciences..

(ii)  AAUA requires three (3) NCE merit in Education and two teaching subjects.

(iii) TASUED requires 'A' Level passes/NCE merit in relevant teaching subjects. Also accepts ND/HND with upper credit. 

(iv) UNILORIN accepts two (2) “A” Level Passes in GCE/IJMB/Equivalent to include at least one teaching subject in Art/Social Sciences/Science. Preference is given to NCE holders.accepts two (2) “A” Level Passes in GCE/IJMB/Equivalent to include at least one teaching subject in Art/Social Sciences/Science. Preference is given to NCE holders.

(v) LASU requires two (2) 'A' Level passes or NCE merit to include the candidate’s teaching subject. The teaching subjects are Economics, Geography, Political Science or Government, Business Administration or Business Studies and Accounting. Does not accept ND or HND.

(vi) BSU accepts NCE with five (5) 'O' Level credit passes or their equivalents including a credit in Mathematics and English Language OR lower credit in a relevant ND programme provided the UTME requirements are met.

(vii) NDU accepts:

Direct Entry Applicants into 300 Level in a 4-year Degree Programme

a.NCE credit or higher in two (2) major subjects in relevant areas.

b.HND Certificate with passes at credit level or higher in a relevant programme.

c.For B.Ed Technology programme Holders of NCE and HND credit or higher in the relevant programme.

Direct Entry Applicants into 200 Level in a 4-year Degree Programme

a.Two(2) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects.

b.ND credit or upper credit in a relevant programme.

c.NCE merit in two (2) relevant subjects.

d.For B.Ed Technology programme, holders of NCE, City and Guilds, NBC/NTC merit in relevant subjects.

(viii) EKSU accepts NCE with a minimum of two passes or merit in addition to O ' level requirements. A pass in General English at NCE level is accepted in lieu of the required credit pass in English Language at O 'level. Two A level passes in relevant subjects in addition to O level requirements. OND Certificate or Diploma Certificate from a recognized University.

(ix) RSU accepts Admissions into Year II; NCE/OND/ND (Upper Credit) in relevant discipline. HND/First Degree in relevant discipline. In addition, all such candidates above must also satisfy the UME entry requirements.

(x) SSU accepts A minimum of Merit in N.C.E

(xi) IAUED accepts Nigerian Certificates in Educational (NCE) or National Diploma (ND) Qualification with not below merit including credit in Mathematics and English and any three (3) subjects chosen from Social Sciences or Arts.
