Subject Combination JAMB UTME Requirements

Subject of specialization and any two Arts subjects.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

1. UNIPORT and EBSU - The subjects of study and two other relevant subjects.
 English Language, the subject to be combined and two other Arts or Social Science subjects. For Education/Music, Education/Creative Art and Education/FAA, English Language and three other Arts subjects.

2. UNN requires the subject to be combined and two other Arts or Social Science subject. For Education Music/Education Fine Arts; any three other subjects.

O'level Requirements

Five SSCE credits in relevant subjects including English Language, Mathematics and subject of specialization.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

1. UNIPORT requires for English language, French and Theatre Arts options Literature in English, for History, PHC does not accept Government in lieu of History.

2.  UNN requires five (5)'O' Level credit passes to include the subjects to be combined with Education and a credit or its equivalent in English Language at 'O' Level or its equivalent. For Education/English, 'O' Level credit passes in English Language and Literature in English are compulsory. For Education/History, Government or History is compulsory. For Education/French - French is compulsory. For Education/Igbo Linguistics, Igbo is compulsory.  

Candidates for Education Music, Education/Creative Arts and Education Fine and Applied Arts must possess Music, Creative Art or Fine and Applied Arts respectively at O' level, in addition to five (5) Credit passes at a sitting or six (6)'O' Level credit passes at two (2) sittings which must include English Language. 

3. UNICAL accepts 'O' Level pass in Mathematics.

4. NDU requires five (5)'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and any other three (3) subjects, two (2) of which must be Arts subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.

Direct Entry Requirements

The direct entry requirements for Education Arts in the Faculty of Education are as follows:

Two (2) 'A' Level passes in relevant subject/NCE merit.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

1. EBSU accepts HND, NCE and ND with a minimum of Merit and Upper credit respectively in the relevant fields.

2. UNN accepts:
(a) NCE in the subject to be combined with Education with at least Merit pass in the subject plus UTME requirement.
(b) Candidates with ND at not less than merit level in other disciplines who possess the University minimum entry requirements which must include credit in the subject to be combined may be admitted for a four year programme.

3.  NDU accepts:

Direct Entry Applicants into 300 Level in a 4-year Degree Programme

a.NCE credit or higher in two (2) major subjects in relevant areas.

b.HND Certificate with passes at credit level or higher in a relevant programme.

c.For B.Ed Technology programme Holders of NCE and HND credit or higher in the relevant programme.

Direct Entry Applicants into 200 Level in a 4-year Degree Programme

a.Two(2) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects.

b.ND credit or upper credit in a relevant programme.

c.NCE merit in two (2) relevant subjects.

d.For B.Ed Technology programme, holders of NCE, City and Guilds, NBC/NTC merit in relevant subjects.
