Subject Combination JAMB UTME Requirements
Music and any other two Arts/Social Science subjects.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) IAUE accepts English language and any three from the following: Christian Religious Studies (CRS), History, Literature in English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Integrated Science, Commerce, Government, Economics Physical and Health Studies, Technical Studies.
(ii) DELSU requires Music or Literature in English and any other two (2) Arts/Social Science/Science subjects.
O'level Requirements
Five SSC credits including Music and English Language.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) DELSU accepts SSC ‘O’ Level credit passes or its equivalent in at least five (5) subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics, Music or Literature in English at not more than two (2) sittings.
(ii) IAUE requires ‘O’ Level credit passes at the GCE, WAEC/SSCE or NECO level in five subjects: English Language and Mathematics and any three from the following: Christian Religious Studies (CRS), History, Literature in English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Integrated Science, Commerce, Government, Economics, Physical and Health Studies, Technical Studies.
(iii) OAU requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes including English Language and Music. Credit/merit in TCII or Certificate in Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ARRASM) are acceptable.
(iv) UNIUYO does not insist on 'O' level credit pass in Music but requires 'O' level credit pass in Mathematics.
Direct Entry Requirements
Two ‘A’ level passes /NCE merit in Music.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) OAU accepts 'A' Level passes in Music and one (1) other subject. Credit or merit in NCE Music double major or NCE Music combined with any other teaching or professional subject. Holders of NCE certificate in Music are eligible for admission with or without 'O' Level Music.
(ii) IAUE: Post NCE and Post Diploma in Music/ Music Education (3 years). Candidates for direct entry must hold a diploma in Music or NCE Music with a grade not lower than merit pass. Note: That candidates with Diploma or N.C.E from other disciplines must pass a departmental audition test. However, such candidates would only be admitted into year one of the B.A (ED) and B.A.programmes in Music
(iii)DELSU requiresat least merit passes in Music at NCE or DELSU Diploma in Music. Upper credit in Diploma or ‘A’ Level passes in Music.
