Education Accounting can be studied under the Education in the following Nigerian Universities;

Subject Combination JAMB UTME Requirements

Mathematics, Economics and any other Social Science subject.

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) OOU requires Economics or Mathematics and any two (2) other Social Science subjects.

(ii) TASUED require Mathematics, Economics plus any Social Sciences subjects.

(iii) IAUE requires English Language, Mathematics, Economics and Government.

O'level Requirements

Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two (2) other relevant subjects.

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) BIU requires five (5) 'O' Level passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) subjects.

(ii)TASUED requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes at one (1) sitting or six (6) 'O' Level credit passes at two (2) sittings to include, English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) relevant subjects.

(iii) AAUA requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Accounts, Commerce or Book keeping.

(iv) IAUE requires five (5) ‘O’ level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce and any other two subjects from Government, Book-Keeping, Accounting, History, C.R.K, Business Methods, Typewriting, Literature in English, Biology etc

Direct Entry Requirements

The direct entry requirements for Education Accounting in the Faculty of Education are as follows:

Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Business Method and one (1) Social Science subject.

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i)  ALVAN accepts ND/NCE/HND at not less than lower credit in relevant studies plus the UTME requirements and accepts holders of:

(a) Complete pass in the intermediate/CAN Examination or its equivalents.

(b) Pass in the final Examination of Chartered institute of secretaries. In the above two (2) cases, UTME requirements are compulsory.

(ii)  OOU accepts ND lower credit and NCE merit in Accounting.

(iii) BIU requires in addition to the 'O' Level requirements specified, a minimum of two (2) relevant subjects passed at 'A' Level or NCE three (3) merits or ND credit in relevant programme.

(iv) TASUED accepts two (2) 'A' Level passes/NCE merit in Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government and Geography. Also accepts ND upper credits in Accounting or Final part of Accounting Technician of ICAN.

(v) IAUE: Candidates seeking admission by direct entry are expected to possess, in addition to credit level passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics or Commerce and any two (2) from the following subjects: Government, Book-Keeping, Accounting, History, CRK, Business Methods, Typewriting, Literature in English, Biology, at least credit in National Diploma certificate or three year NCE programme width passes in Accounting and or related subject areas such as Finance, Banking, Marketing and Management.

(vi) LASU requires two (2) 'A' Level passes/NCE merit in Business Method, Commerce, Economics and Principle of Accounting. Does not accept ND and HND.

(vii) AAUA accepts:

(a)NCE merit in Business Method, Commerce, Economics and Principle of Accounting.(b)ND at merit level in Accounting, Statistics, Banking and Finance, Business Management.(c)Two (2)'A’ Level passes in relevant subjects.

(viii) EKSU and ABSU require 'A’ Level or NCE merit in Accountancy plus a credit in Economics.

(ix) EKSU accepts ND upper credit in Cooperative Studies. A pass at NCE general English Language is accepted in lieu of SSC/GCE or NBC credit.
