Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements


In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Computer Education under the Faculty of Education in the above Universities include;

Mathematics, Economics/ Commerce plus one (1) of Chemistry/Physics/Biology

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i)      UNN requires Mathematics or Physics and two (2) other Science subjects.

(ii)  UNIBEN requires Mathematics, Physics and any other Science or Social Sciences subjects.

(iii) IAUE requires Mathematics and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Economics in order of preference.

(iv)     AAUA requires Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Economics and Geography.

(v) YABATECH requires English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any one from: Biology, Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics, Geography, Economics, Computer Studies, Data Processing, GSM Phone Maintenance, Information & Communication Technology, Technical Drawing, Basic Electricity and Electrical Drawing.

O'Level Requirements


The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Computer Education;

You require;

Five (5) SSC credit passes including Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i)     UNIBEN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and two (2) other Science or Social Sciences subjects.

(ii) AAUA requires five (5) 'O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics Physics Chemistry and Biology.

(iii) IAUE requires five(5)‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics and any other three (3) subjects from Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Agricultural Science

(iv) UNN requires five (5) 'O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics or Physics, plus three (3) Science or Social Sciences subjects.
 

Direct Entry Requirements


These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Computer Education, if you don't intend to use UTME.

You require;

i. Two (2)'A' Level passes or its equivalents in Physics and Mathematics.

ii. ND in Computer Science

iii.  NCE distinction credit or merit in Computer Education or Physics or Mathematics

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i)        UNIBEN requires  (a)  two (2) ‘A’ Level passes including Mathematics and one (1)Science subject plus three(3)'O’ Level credit passes including English Language at one sitting. (b) two (2) or three (3) NCE merit including Computer Science or Mathematics/Physics plus three (3) or two (2) 'O' Level credit passes at one (1) sitting.

(ii) IAUE accepts NCE credit in Mathematics and another Science subject.

(iii) AAUA accepts  (a) upper credit Diploma in Computer Science, Statistics or Electronic/ Electrical Engineering from any recognized Institutions. (b) passes in two (2) ‘A’ Level subjects which must include Mathematics. (c) NCE credit pass in Mathematics, Computer Science and any other Science or Social Science subject.

(iv) YABATECH accepts Two (2) A Level passes or its equivalents in Physics and Mathematics. At least Lower Credit pass in ND Computer Science.NCE distinction credit or merit in Computer Education or Physics or Mathematics.
