Russian can be studied under the Arts & Humanities in the following Nigerian Universities;

Subject Combination JAMB UTME Requirements

French and any two (2) other Arts/Social Science subjects.

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) UI requires Literature in English plus one (1) Arts subject and any other Arts or Social Science subject.

(ii) UNILAG requires Literature in English and any other three (3) subjects from Arts or Social Sciences.

(iii) UNN requires English Language and any other three (3) subjects.

O'level Requirements

Five (5) SSCE credit passes to include French, English Language and any three (3) other subjects.

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) ‘O’ Level pass in English Language is accepted for candidates with distinction in French (except OAU).

(ii) Candidates with no previous knowledge of the Language may be admitted.

(iii) UI accepts ‘O' Level credit passes in Literature in English and other Arts and Social Science subjects. (iv) LAGOS requires Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any three Arts or Social Sciences. Civic Education and Computer Studies are also accepted.

(iv) UNN requires 'O' Level credit passes in English Language and four (4) other subjects. History or Literature in English will be an advantage.

Direct Entry Requirements

The direct entry requirements for Russian in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities are as follows:

Two (2) ‘A’ level passes including the Foreign Language(s) where applicable.

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) UNILAG accepts
a) very good passes in JUPEB/'A' level subjects Any three (3) of French, Igbo, Yoruba, CRS, IS, History, Government, Literature in English, Music and Fine Arts.
b) two (2) 'A' level/JUPEB passes in Arts or Social Sciences or in both.
c) candidates must satisfy the UTME requirements.

(ii) UNN accepts
a) NCE merit in relevant subjects as well as UTME requirements.
b) two (2) GCE ‘A’ level passes or its equivalent and three (3)other 'O' level credit passes.
