Religious and Cultural Studies can be studied under the Arts & Humanities in the following Nigerian Universities;
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Religious and Cultural Studies under the Faculty of Arts & Humanities in the above listed universities include;
CRS/IS and any other two (2) subjects.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) AAU require CRS/IRS and an Arts or a Social Science subject.
(ii) UNIUYO requires CRS and other two (2) subjects from Arts or Social Sciences
(iii) UNIPORT requires any other three (3) subjects from Literature in English, History/Government, CRK/IRK, Economics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Physics, Igbo/Hausa/Yoruba, Fine Art, Geography, Commerce.
(iv) BSU accepts NCE/’A’ Level passes in CRS, African Religion or its equivalent.
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Religious and Cultural Studies;
You require;Five (5) SSCE credit passes toinclude English Language and CRS/IS.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) UNIUYO requires two (2) 'A' Level passes including CRS or NCE Merit in three (3) subjects, including CRS.
(i) UNIPORT requires Five (5) SSC credits in English Language and any other four (4) subjects from Literature in English, History/Government, CRK/IRK, Economics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Physics, Igbo/Hausa/Yoruba, Fine Art, Geography, Commerce.
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Religious and Cultural Studies, if you don't intend to use UTME.
You require;Two (2) ‘A’ level subjects to include ReligiousStudies (CRS/IS).
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) AAU accepts two (2) 'A' Level passes, to include CRS and one other Arts subject.
(ii) UNIPORT - accepts At least two (2) A/level passes in GCE or HSC or JUPEB or IJMB in any Arts subject in addition to UTME entry requirements. NCE in any two Arts subjects with an overall merit level pass from a recognized College of Education in addition to UTME entry requirements
(iii) UYO requires two (2) 'A' level passessubjects including CRS or NCE Merit in three (3) subjects including CRS.
