Portuguese can be studied under the Arts & Humanities in the following Nigerian Universities;
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Portuguese under the Faculty of Arts & Humanities in the above listed universities include;
French and any two (2) other Arts/Social Science subjects.
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Portuguese;
You require;Five (5) SSCE credit passes to include French, English Language and anythree (3)other subjects.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) OAU – ‘O’ level credit pass in German is not compulsory.
(ii) ‘O’ Level pass in English Language is accepted for candidates with distinction in French (except OAU).
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Portuguese, if you don't intend to use UTME.
You require;Two (2) ‘A’ level passes including the Foreign Language(s) where applicable.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
OAU - the programme includes one (1) year at the French Village, Badagry (for French candidates), Germany (for German candidates) and Brazil (for Portuguese candidates).
