OAU : Offers this course with options in;

(i) B.A. (Hons.) Degree in Linguistics

(ii) B.A. (Combined Honours) Degree in Linguistics and English Language

(iii) B.A. (Hons) Degree in Linguistics and Yoruba (Combined)

Subject Combination JAMB UTME Requirements

Igbo and two (2) subjects from Arts and social Sciences.

O'level Requirements

Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Igbo, English Language and any other Arts subject.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

OAU requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, one Arts subject and three (3) other subjects from Sciences, Social Sciences or Arts.

Direct Entry Requirements

The direct entry requirements for Linguistics and African Languages in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities are as follows:

(i) Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Igbo and one (2)Arts/Social Sciences subject.

(ii) NCE in Igbo and one Arts subject.
