Christian Religious Studies (CRS) can be studied under the Arts & Humanities in the following Nigerian Universities;

Subject Combination JAMB UTME Requirements

Two (2) Arts subjects including CRS and any other subject.

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:

(i) UNICAL accepts CRS/IRS and any two (2) other subjects.

(ii) KASU requires Christian Religious Knowledge and two other subjects in Arts or Social Sciences.

(iii) UNILORIN requires two (2) Arts subjects including CRS and any other subject.

(iv) UNILAG requires English Language, CRS and any two (2) from Literate-in-English, History, Government, French, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Visual Arts, Economics and Commerce.

(v) FUK requires CRS and any two of Hausa, Government, Economics, Literature in English and History

(vi) KWASU accepts any three (3) Arts or Social Science subjects.

O'level Requirements

Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, CRS and three (3) other relevant subjects.

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:

(i) EKSU requires only Arts subjects.

(ii) KASU requires  Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Christian Religious Knowledge and two other subjects in Arts or Social Sciences.

(iii) LASU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language.

(iv) TASU accepts 'O' Level pass in Mathematics.

(v) UNILORIN requires five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, CRS and three (3) other relevant subjects.

(vi) UNILAG requires Five Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, CRS and any other two subjects.

(vii) FUK requires Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics, CRS and any other two of the Following Hausa, History, Literature in English, Government, Civic Education, Commerce.

Direct Entry Requirements

The direct entry requirements for Christian Religious Studies (CRS) in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities are as follows:

 

Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes/NCE to include CRS/Religious Studies.

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:

(i) UNIABUJA accepts a minimum of ten (10) points in NCE merit or ND upper credit in addition to the UTME requirements.

(ii)  AJAYI accept NCE Merit in Religious Studies.

(iii) UNILORIN accepts;
   a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes/NCE to include CRS/Religious Studies.
   b) Diploma in Religious Studies or Theology of London or an accredited Nigerian University or Affiliated institutions.

(iv) KASU accepts NCE Christian Religious Knowledge/ Theology with a merit pass. ND Christian Religious Knowledge/ Theology Lower Credit. Two ‘A’ level passes in CRS/Theology. IJMB minimum of 7 points and above) in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements

(v) LASU accepts;
   a) two (2) 'A' Level passes, including CRS or Religious Studies at not more than two (2) sittings, plus five (5) 'O' Level credit passes or its equivalent, including English Language at not more than two (2) sittings.
   b) NCE Merit in CRS and five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in other relevant subjects including English Language.

(vi) LASU and OOU also require fulfillment of the UTME requirements.

(vii) NSUK accepts NCE merit in CRS.

(viii) UNILAG accepts Passes at the GCE A/level or its equivalents. One of the A/level Subjects should be CRS. NCE with credit or merit in CRS.

(ix) FUK requires Two 'A’ Level credit passes in CRS/Religious Studies and any other Arts subject.

(c) KWASU accepts IJMB, Cambridge and NCE.
