Horticulture can be studied under the Agriculture in the following Nigerian Universities;
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Horticulture under the Faculty of Agriculture in the above listed universities include;
Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and one (1) of Mathematics, Geography, Economics or Physics.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) FUNAAB does not accept Economics or Geography
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Horticulture;
You require;Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Agric Science
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) FUTMINNA requires five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science, and any one (1) of Physics, Geography or Economics. At least 'O' level pass in Physics is required.
(ii) FUNAAB requires five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Candidates with 'O' Level pass in Biology must possess 'O' Level credit pass in Agricultural Science. It does not accept Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Horticulture, if you don't intend to use UTME.
You require;Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) of Biology, Agricultural Science, Botany and Zoology.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) FUTMINNA accepts ND/HND not below lower credit.
