Crop Protection can be studied under the Agriculture in the following Nigerian Universities;
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Crop Protection under the Faculty of Agriculture in the above listed universities include;
Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and Mathematics or Physics.
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Crop Protection;
You require;Five (5) SSCE credit passes to include Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and one Science/Social Science subject and at least 'O' Level pass in Physics.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(i) FUNAAB requires
a. credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
b. at least ‘O’ level pass in Physics.
c. candidates with ‘O’ level pass in Biology must possess ‘O’ level credit pass in Agricultural Science. Does not accept Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Crop Protection, if you don't intend to use UTME.
You require;Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science/Botany/Zoology or Physics/Mathematics/Economics
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) FUNAAB accepts;
(a) Two (2) ' A’ level credit passes in Chemistry and one of Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Biology, Mathematics or Physics.
(b) ND/HND upper credit in Agriculture from a recognised institution in any one (1) of Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Fisheries, Forestry and Wildlife Management, Agricultural Technology plus the UTME requirements.
(c) NCE credit in Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics plus the UTME requirements.
