Agricultural Extension and Rural Development can be studied under the Agriculture in the following Nigerian Universities;
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Agricultural Extension and Rural Development under the Faculty of Agriculture in the above listed universities include;
Chemistry, Biology /Agriculture and Physics or Mathematics
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) LANDMARK requires English, Chemistry and any two of Biology, Agricultural science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics
(ii) RSU requires English Language, Chemistry, Biology/ Agricultural Science and any one of Physics/Mathematics.
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Agricultural Extension and Rural Development;
You require;Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science plus one of Physics, Geography and Economics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) FUNAAB requires;
a. 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
b. at least 'O' Level pass in Physics.
c. candidates with 'O' Level pass in Biology must possess 'O' Level credit pass in Agricultural Science. Does not accept Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology.
(iv) OAU does not accept Economics and Geography.
(v) LANDMARK requires Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science and one of Physics , Economics. or any social science subject
(v) MOUAU requires five (5) 'O' level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and any other Science subjects. Also credit in Agricultural Science must be backed up with ‘O’ level pass in Biology
(vi) MOUAU accept ‘O’ level pass in Physics
(vii) RSU requires Five (5) WASC/GCE/NECO/SSCE ‘O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and any other two subjects from Physics, Economics, Biology or Agricultural Science.
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, if you don't intend to use UTME.
You require;Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or equivalents in Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science/Botany/Zoology/Economics/Mathematics/Physics/Geography/Geology
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) FUNAAB accept ND/HND for Direct Entry to 200/300 levels respectively.
(ii) UI accept ND or HND in the related fields. Agricultural candidates must apply to read Agriculture Until 500 level when options will be available
(iii) FUNAAB accepts:
(a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level credit passes in Chemistry and one of Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Biology, Mathematics or Physics.
(b) ND/HND upper credit in Agriculture from a recognised institution in any one (1) of Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Fisheries, Forestry and Wildlife Management, Agricultural Technology plus the UTME requirements.
(c) NCE credit in Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics plus the UTME requirements.
(iv) OAU accepts
(a) Two (2) `A' Level passes in Chemistry and one (1) of Zoology/ Botany/ Agricultural Science/ Biology, Mathematics, Physics, or Economics.
(b) HND/ND in Agriculture obtained at upper credit level from a recognized Institution
(v) LAUTECH accepts ND with upper credit/HND/NCE at credit Level in relevant subjects plus the UTME requirements.
(vi) RSU accepts; Admission into Year II.HND (Lower Credit) in relevant discipline. HND not relevant to the Programme. OND, UD (Upper Credit) in Agriculture Courses. In addition to the above, such candidates must also satisfy the UME requirements. Admission into Year III.HND (Upper Credit) in Agriculture Courses. B.Sc degree in allied discipline such as Agriculture.
(vi) LANDMARK requires Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science and one of Physics , Economics. or any social science subject
