Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements

In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Public Administration And Local Government under the Faculty of Administration in the above listed universities include;

O'Level Requirements

The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Public Administration And Local Government;

Five (5) SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Economics and Government. For NBC holders, the other relevant subjects could be from any of the following: Accounting, Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice and Secretarial Duties.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:

(i) UNN requires minimum entry requirements plus ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Government or History and Mathematics

(ii) UNN require at least a pass in Mathematics.  

Direct Entry Requirements

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Public Administration And Local Government, if you don't intend to use UTME.

Two (2) ‘A’ level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government, Geography and Statistics.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:

UNN accepts Direct Entry candidates for a three (3)-year programme, they are required to possess one (1) of the following qualifications:
a) Two (2) ‘A' level passes or their equivalents in any of the following subjects; Government/History, Economics, Business Management, Accounting and Geography plus the UTME requirements.
b) HND lower credit from recognized institutions plus the UTME requirements.
c) Possession of Government is not a prerequisite for three (3)-year Direct Entry candidates.
d) ND or HND credit in Public Administration.
