In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Banking and Finance under the Faculty of Administration in the above listed universities include;
Mathematics, Economics, plus any one (1) of Government and Geography.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(i) EBSU and IUO - as in Accounting.
(ii) ESUT, UNN, OOU - Mathematics, Economics, plus any Social Science subject.
(iii) EVANGEL requires Mathematics, Economics and any other subject.
(iv) UNILAG - Same as in Business Administration.
(v) DELSU requires Mathematics, Economics and any other Social Science subject.
(vi) AAUA requires Mathematics, Economics and one other subject.
(vii) RSU accepts Mathematics, Economics and any other subject.
(viii) UNIPORT requires Mathematics, Economics and any other subject from Government/History, Geography, Commerce, Literature in English, CRK/IRK, Accounting (Financial/Business), Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics.
(ix) UNIMAID requires Mathematics, any of Principles of Accounting/Commerce/Economics and any other Social Science subject.
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Banking and Finance;
You require;Five (5) SSC credit passes to include: English Language, Mathematics and any other subjects. For NBC, the other two (2) relevant subjects could be from any of the following; Accounting, Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice and Economics.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(i) AAUA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and one Social Science Subject and any other Subject.
(ii) UNIUYO, UNIZIK, ESUT, EKSU, IMSU and UNILAG require ‘O’ Level credit passes in Economics and two (2) other subjects.
(iii) EKSU requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Economics plus other Social Science subjects.
(iv) IMSU and BIU accept credit/merit in English Language in TC II.
(v) UNILAG requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two (2) of Government, Geography, Commerce, Financial Accounting, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Business Management and Book Keeping.
(vi) EBSU - Same as in Accounting.
(vii) UNIPORT requires Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) subjects from Government/History, Geography, Commerce, Literature in English, CRK/IRK, Accounting (Financial/Business), Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics.
(viii) UNN requires five (5) ‘O' Level credit passes to include: English Language, Mathematics and any other relevant subjects. For NBC the other two (2) relevant subjects could be from any of the following: Accounting, Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice and Economics.
(vix) DELSU requires five (5) credits at SSC or its equivalent, obtained at not more than two (2) sittings, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) Social Science subjects.
(x) RSU requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two (2) other subjects.
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Banking and Finance, if you don't intend to use UTME.
You require;Two (2) 'A' Level passes chosen from Accounting, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Geography and Statistics.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(i) ABU accepts;
a. Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Accounting or Economics and any one (1) other subject
b. NCE with passes at Merit level in relevant subjects.
c. ND at Credit level.
(ii) AAUA accepts;
a. HND lower credit in Banking and Finance;
b. ND at Credit levels in relevant disciplines.
(iii) ABSU accept ND in Banking/Finance with a minimum of ‘B’ overall average.
(iv) EBSU accepts ACIB, ND, NCE or HND passed at merit level in relevant programmes in addition to the ‘O’ Level requirements. (v) EKSU accepts ND upper credit in relevant programmes.
(vi) ESUT accepts ND in Management, Marketing, Accounting and Finance. It also accepts ND in relevant programmes within the Faculty into 200 level in addition to the UTME requirements.
(vii) EVANGEL requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and any of Science, Social Science or Management subjects plus ‘O’ Level requirements.
(viii) IUO as in Accounting.
(ix) IMSU and UNIPORT - No Direct Entry
(x) UNILAG accepts very good passes in three (3) JUPEB/’A’ Level subjects: Economics and any other two (2) subjects from Financial Accounting, Business Studies, Mathematics, Geography and Government.
(xi) MCU accepts
a) ND upper credit in relevant programmes.
b) Foundation of professional examinations such as ICAN, ACCA, ICMA& CIBN
c) JUPEB/IJMB ‘A’ Level or equivalent in related programmes.
(xii) OOU accepts;
a. ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and other subjects plus ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language and Mathematics;
b 'A' Level passes in Economics and Accounting.
c ND/HND and NCE not below the equivalent of upper credit in relevant subjects from recognized institutions as well as Foundation/ Intermediate Passes of the ICAN, ACCA, ICMA and CIPFA.
(xiii) UNIZIK require Direct Entry applicants to possess the UTME requirements.
(xiv) UNIPORT accepts Two (2) Advanced level GCE or HSC or JUPEB or IJMB passes in Mathematics and at least one (1) of Economics, Statistics, Accounts including UTME entry requirements.OND (upper credit) or HND (Merit Pass) in either of Accounting, Banking and Finance, Actuarial Science/Insurance, Business Management from a recognized institution including UTME entry requirements.
(xv) RSU in addition to 'O' Level requirements accepts:
a. OND/ND (Upper Credit) relevant to the discipline.
b. HND (Lower Credit) relevant to the programme.
c. Degree (Third Class) relevant to the programme.
d. At least two (2) 'A' level passes at GCE preferably in the Arts and Social Sciences.
(xvi) UNIZIK does not accept Geography.
(xvii) UNN accepts;
a. AIB and other professional qualifications or HND in relevant programmes plus the UTME requirements.
b. Two (2) 'A' Level passes or its equivalent in any of the following subjects: Government, History, Economics, Business Management, Accounting and Geography plus the UTME requirements.
c) ND from recognised institutions in Law, Secretarial studies or its equivalent plus the UTME requirements.
d) HND lower credit of recognised institutions plus the UTME requirements.
(xviii) UNIUYO accepts ND/HND in relevant programmes not below lower credit level. All Direct Entry candidates must satisfy the UTME requirements.
(xix) DELSU requires;
a. GCE 'A’Level or HSC passes in Accounts, or Economics and at least one other Social Science subject.
b. HND in upper credit obtained from approved polytechnics or colleges of technology.
c. Merit in DELSU Diploma obtained from approved polytechnics or colleges of technology with a grade not lower than upper credit.
d. Foundation/Intermediate Certificate in relevant Professional Bodies such as.
(xx) EKSU accepts ND upper credit in relevant programmes.
