Urban and Regional Planning can be studied under the Engineering, Environment & Technology in the following Nigerian Universities;
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Urban and Regional Planning under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology in the above listed universities include;
Geography and two (2) other subjects from course requirement.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS
i) NEKEDEPOLY accepts Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
ii) KADPOLY requires Mathematics, Geography and any one of Economics/Commerce, Biology/Agricultural Science, Fine Arts/Technical Drawing, Chemistry, Physics, History/Government.
iii) SAROWIWA POLY accepts Economics in lieu of Geography.
iv) OFFAPOLY requires Mathematics, Geography/ Economics and any one subject from Sciences or Fine Art.
v) LASPOTECH requires Geography and any two (2) subjects from Economics/Commerce, Fine Art/Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Agric Science, History/Government, Business Methods/Book-Keeping/Principles of Accounting and Mathematics.
vi) YABATECH accepts Geography and any other two (2) subjects from: Mathematics, Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Agric. Science, Economics, Fine Art/Technical Drawing, Government.
vii) OFFAPOLY requires English Language and any other three subjects chosen from the following; Mathematics, Geography, Economics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Fine Art.
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Urban and Regional Planning;
You require;Five (5) SSC credit passes in Mathematics, Geography and three (3) other subjects from:
English Language,
Economics/Commerce,
Fine Art/Technical Drawing,
Further Mathematics,
Chemistry,
Physics,
Biology/Agricultural Science,
History/Government
Business Methods/Bookkeeping and Principles of Accounting
One of the three (3) subjects must be a basic science subject. At least a credit pass in English Language is compulsory.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS
i) IBADANPOLY and OSUNTECHCOLLEGE require 'O' Level credit pass in English Language and Geography.
ii) ILAROPOLY requires 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Geography, one basic Science and any other subject from the following: Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, Further Mathematics, Economics/Commerce, Technical Drawing/Graphics Design, Painting and Decoration, Civic Education, Building Construction, WoodWork, Computer Studies, Basic Electronics, Financial Accounting, Draughtsmanship/ Graphic Design, Introduction to Building Construction, Machine WoodWorking, Metal Work, , Business Management, Electrical Installation & Maintenance Work, Computer Craft Studies.
iv) LASPOTECH requires 'O' Level credit passes in English and Mathematics and a pass in any of the following science subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science plus any one (1) credit from subjects chosen from: Economics, Geography, Art/Technical Drawing.
vi) YABATECH requires five (5) O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Agric. Science, Geography and any one (1) from: Economics, Fine Art, Technical Drawing, Government, Civic Education and Data Processing.
vii) FEDPO-ADO requires 'O' Level credit passes in Mathematics and Geography, a Basic Science subject and one (1) from English Language, Economics/Commerce, Art/Technical Drawing and Statistics and offers the course as Urban and Regional Planning.
viii) PLAPOLY requires 'O' Level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Geography and other subject from Economics, Arts, Technical Drawing, Government/History, Chemistry, Physics, Biology.
ix) OSUNPO does not accept History and Government as course requirement. It however requires 'O' Level credit pass in Geography or Economics.
x) KWARAPOLY does not accept Commerce, Business Method, Agricultural Science, Government/History and Account but accepts a Credit Pass in Statistics.
xi) RUGIPO accepts 'O' Level pass in English Language.
xii) NEKEDEPOLY requires 'O' Level credit passes in Mathematics, a Science Subject and any other three subjects chosen from those listed in column 2
