In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Computer Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology in the above listed universities include;
Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS
i) SURE-POLY requires Mathematics, Physics and any other subject.
ii) NEKEDE requires Chemistry instead of Technical Drawing for the UTME Subjects.
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Computer Engineering;
You require;Five (5) SSC credit passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and any two (2) subjects from:
Biology/Agricultural Science
Technical Drawing,
Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity,
Auto Mechanics,
Metal Work,
Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.),
Further Mathematics
English Language,
Geography,
Economics/Commerce.
For Marine Engineering and Industrial Safety & Environmental Engineering a pass in Biology is required.
'O' Level credit pass in English Language is required.

i) OFFA POLY does not accept Agricultural Science and Food & Nutrition.
ii) ILARO POLY requires 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one subject from: Biology/Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics, Marketing, Geography, Economics/Commerce, Technical Drawing, Auto Body Repair and Spray Painting, Auto Electrical Works, Auto Mechanical Works, Auto Mechanics, Auto Parts Merchandising, Blocklaying/Bricklaying and Concreting, Building Construction, Carpentry and Joinery, Electrical Installation & Maintenance Work, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Furniture Making, GSM Phone Maintenance and Repairs, Metal Work, Machine Woodworking, Mining, Plumbing and Pipe Fitting, Radio/ Television and Electronics Works, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Welding and Fabrication Engineering Craft Practice, General Metal Works, Computer Studies, Data Processing, Basic Electricity, Drawing & Design, Implements & Machines, Tractor System, Motor Vehicle Mechanical Works, Automobile Electrical Works, Vehicle Body Building, Light Vehicle Body Repair Works, Instrument Mechanics Works, Appliance Maintenance and Repairs (Electrical/Mechanical Appliance and Projectors Maintenance) Machines Maintenance, Foundry Craft Practice, Marine Engineering Craft, Ship Building Craft Practice, Computer Craft Studies, Introduction Building Construction.
YABATECH requires 'O' Level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and any one (1) subject from Agricultural Science/Biology, Technical Drawing, Auto Mechanic, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Technology), Further Mathematics, Geography, Economics, Commerce.
iii) PLA-POLY requires 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any one (1) from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science.
iv) RUGIPO accepts 'O' Level pass in English Language.
v) FEDPO-EDE requires or its equivalent five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other one (1) subject from Biology, Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics, Computer Studies, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Work.
vi) NEKEDE POLY and IBPOLY require at least 'O' Level pass in English Language.
vii) GATEWAY POLY - Same as in Electrical Electronic Engineering Technology.
viii) FIDEIPOLY requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings, the credits must include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any two from, Biology/Agricultural Science, Information Communication Technology, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Statistics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, and Economics/Commerce. A pass in English Language is accepted.
ix) IBADAN POLY does not accept a Pass in English Language.
x) OSUNPOLY accepts 'O' Level credit passes in Civic Education/Government, Welding/Auto Part Merchandizing, and Computer Studies/ICT/Data Processing.
xi) SURE-POLY requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two (2) of Chemistry, Economics, Geography, Biology, Agricultural Science at not more than two (2) sittings.
xii) GRUNDTVIG accepts five (5) SSC credit passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any two (2) subjects from: Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.), Further Mathematics, English Language, Geography, Economics/Commerce.
xiii) YABATECH requires five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one (1) subject from the following in not more than two (2) sittings: Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Statistics, Food and Nutrition, Further Mathematics, Geography, Economics/ Commerce.
