Forestry Technology can be studied under the Agriculture in the following Nigerian Universities;
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Forestry Technology under the Faculty of Agriculture in the above listed universities include;
Mathematics and any two of Chemistry, Physics or Technical Drawing.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
i) FEDFISH-LAG requires Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any one (1) of Economics, Geography, Physics or Mathematics.
ii) FEDAGRIC-AKR requires (for Horticultural Technology) Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any one of Economics, Technical Drawing, Physics and Geography. For Forestry Technology, it requires Biology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any other Science subject.
iii) FEDPO-BAU requires Chemistry and any two (2) subjects from Biology, Agricultural Science, Economics, Geography, Physics, Commerce, and Mathematics.
vi) IMO-POLY accepts Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any other Science Subjects.
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Forestry Technology;
You require;Five (5) SSCE credit passes in:
Mathematics,Physics and Chemistry and any two subjects from:
1. Biology/Agricultural Science
2. Technical Drawing,
3. Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity,
4. Auto Mechanics,
5. Metal Work,Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.),
6. Further Mathematics
7. English Language,
8. Geography,
9. Economics/Commerce.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
i) COLAGRIC-JAL accepts any three (3) of Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Technical Drawing or Geography as UTME subjects.
ii) RUGIPO requires five (5) 'O' level credit passes in Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and any three (3) from Geography, Food and Nutrition, Technical Drawing, English Language, Nigerian Language, Chemistry, Physics, Economics and Home Economics.
iii) IMO-POLY requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes from Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English Language and any two (2) from the following Geography, Economics, Statistics, Physics, and Chemistry. 'O' Level pass in Chemistry is Compulsory.
iv) BUPOLY-HAD- requires Biology/Agricultural Science and two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics, and Geography as UTME subjects.
v) FEDWILD-NBUS requires 'O' Level passes in English Language and Chemistry and 'O' Level credit passes in Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and any three (3) of the following - Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical Drawing, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Nigerian Language and Home Economics.
vi) OYSCATECH requires five (5) 'O' level credit passes to include Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and any other one (1) from Biology/Agricultural Science, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, and Economics/Commerce.
vii) RUGIPO requires five (5) 'O' level credit passes to include Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, Chemistry and two (2) from Geography, Economics, English Language and Physics. It requires at least 'O' Level pass in English Language.
viii) FEDFISH-LAG requires 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/ Agricultural Science and any other Science or Social Science subject.
ix) FECOFOR-IBD requires Biology/Agricultural Science and two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics and Geography as UTME subjects.
x) COLAGRIC-YAN requires Biology and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Agricultural Science, Economics/Geography as UTME subjects.
xi) FEDPO-BAU requires five 'O' level credit passes in Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and any three (3) from Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical Drawing, Physics, Chemistry, Nigerian Language and Home Economics. Credit passes in English Language and Chemistry are compulsory.
