In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Accountancy under the Faculty of Administration in the above listed universities include;
Mathematics and two (2) of Geography, Commerce, Government, Principles of Accounts and Economics.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS
i) SURE-POLY requires Mathematics, Economics and any other subject.
ii) FEDPO-BAU requires Mathematics and any two (2) subjects from Economics, Commerce, Government, Geography, Principles of Accounts, History.
iii) YABATECH requires Mathematics and two (2) of Geography, Commerce, Government/ History, Principles of Accounts and Economics.
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Accountancy;
You require;Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language not Literature in English and Mathematics and any three (3) subjects from the following;

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS
i) OKO-POLY, ILARO-POLY, Akani Ibiam Poly & IMT-ENU require Five (5) 'O' Level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings. FEDPO-AIU requires 'O' Level credit pass in one Science subject.
ii) THE IBADAN POLYTECHNIC, OSUNPOLY PH-POLY, and OTEFE require five (5) 'O' Level credit passes including English and Mathematics and any three (3) subjects from the course requirements at not more than two (2) sittings. PH-POLY excludes History.
iii) OFFA POLY and OZORO-POLY require 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Economics and one (1) of Commerce, Business Method, Bookkeeping, Accounts and Geography.
iv) LASPOTECH does not accept Literature in English as course requirement for Accountancy. It accepts History as UTME subject.
v) OGWASHIUKU does not accept History but accepts Agricultural Science or Biology as course requirements.
vi) IMT-ENU requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes.
vii) RAMATPOLY accepts certificate in Accountancy from any institution with four (4) subjects at pass level which must include English Language and Mathematics and any two (2) of the subjects listed in course requirement column
viii) FIDEIPOLY and IGBAJO require five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce and any other two (2) subjects from the following Business Method, Accounts, Geography, Government, Agricultural Science/Biology at not more than two (2) sittings.
ix) NEKEDE POLY requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes at two (2) sittings which must include Mathematics, English Language and three (3) other relevant subjects.
x) OSUNTECH does not accept Literature in English, Office Practice, Typewriting and Shorthand as course requirements, but Economics and Commerce are accepted as different subjects.
xi) KWARA POLY does not accept History as a requirement for Accountancy but accepts 'O' Level credit pass in Statistics.
xii) FED POLY-EDE requires five (5) 'O' level credit passes or its equivalent in English Language, Mathematics and any other three (3) from the following Economics/Commerce, Business Method/Business Studies, Principle of Accounts/Book Keeping/Financial Accounting, Geography, History/Government, Agricultural Science/Biology/Physics/Chemistry, Insurance, Civic Education.
xiii) YABATECH requires five (5) O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two (2) from the following: Commerce, Geography, Biology/Agricultural Science, History/Government, Business Management/Method and Financial Accounting.
xiv) ILARO-POLY requires 'O' Level credit passes in English Language (not Literature in English), Mathematics and any three subjects from the following: Economics/Commerce, Business Methods/Business Studies, Principles of Accounts/Book Keeping, Literature in English, Geography, Office Practice, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, History/Government, Typewriting, Shorthand, Civic Education, Financial Accounting, French, Insurance, CRS/IRK, Marketing, Salesmanship, Store Keeping, Store Management, Computer Studies, Entrepreneurship Education and Social Studies.
xv) NEKEDE accepts Economics/Commerce and Principles of Accounts/Accounts as the UTME subjects.
xvi) CABSP accepts Certificate Course of the College or from any recognised institution OR any other qualification recognised by the College Academic Board.
xvii) FEDPO-BAUCHI requires Mathematics, Economics/Commerce and any two (2) of Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Literature in English, Geography, Office Practice, Government, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, History, Typewriting and Shorthand.
xviii) AUCHIPOLY requires 'O' Level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, and Economics.
xix) IMO-POLY accepts only Biology or Agricultural Science. It does not accept History and Literature in English as course requirement for Accountancy.
xx) FEDPO-BAL accepts Principles of Accounting, Economics/Commerce and any other subject as UTME subjects.
xxi) OGUN-POLY requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings. In addition to 'O' Level credit passes in English Language and Mathematics, candidates must possess credit pass in Economics/ Commerce.
xxii) AKCAS requires 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Chemistry/ Physics and any other two (2) from Economics, Business Management, Principles of Accounts, Literature in English Language, Commerce, History/ Government, Statistics and Geography.
xxiii) TOPS accepts Civic Education in lieu of Government and also accepts Animal Husbandry in lieu of Agricultural Science.
xxiv) IGBAJO-POLY - Mathematics is not compulsory as a UTME subject.
xxv) OSUNPOLY accepts 'O' Level credit passes in Civic Education/Government, Data Processing/Computer Studies/ICT.
xxvi) THE IBADAN POLYTECHNIC accepts 'O' Level credit passes in Economics, Commerce, Government, History, Agricultural Science, Biology, Book Keeping, Yoruba, CRS, and IS. Also accepts any of the listed 'O' Level course requirements as UTME subjects.
xxvii) SURE-POLY requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Principle of Accounts, Economics or any other subject at not more than two (2) sittings.
