- Difficulty in acquiring land for a solar farm.

- Problem of reinforcement against the collapse of the dam.
- Silting
- Displacement of people.
- Deforestation
- Spread of water-borne diseases
- Displacement of wildlife.
- Disruption of river transportation
- Uncoordinated use of the river/dam create conflicts.
- Disruption of traditional occupation. e.g Fishing at the lower part of the river.
