(ii) growth of long tap roots to reach water level in the dry season.
(iii) development of fleshy stems to store water
(iv) thick leaves/ barks to reduce rate of transpiration
(v) tiny leathery and needle shaped leaves to control rate of transpiration.
(vi) some plants have durable root system to survive the hot dry season.
