— plants make use of carbon dioxide
— nitrogen is used by plants to build up protein contents.
— plants use gases for photosynthesis
— it reduces the effects of ultra violet rays

(iii) Rain
— Rainfall aids plants growth
— it is the source of water for man and animals
— it is an important source of water for rivers
— it is the source of underground water
— it modifies the weather

(iv) Solar energy
— used for drying
— warms the earth
— it is natural and does not require any periodic maintenance
— enhances plant growth
— it enables satellites to be kept in space
— it is a source of power
— source of vitamin D.
