(a) The earth is spherical
(b) proofs:
(i) sunrise and sunset: The earth rotates from west to east which means t places in the east see the sun before places in the west. If the earth was that flat, all places would see the sun the same time.
(ii) A Ship's Visibility: The diagram below shows two ships but you can see that the observer is only able to see one of them. If the earth was flat, the observer would see both ships
(iii) Eclipse of the Moon: When there is an eclipse the moon, the shadow of the earth which is thrown the moon is always round. Only a sphere can ca shadow which is circular
(iv) Circumnavigation of Earth; The earth has been circumnavigated sever times by land, sea and air
