(a) Objectives of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS):
(i) Promote economic co-operation.

(v) Cooperate in joint military operation, e.g. ECOMOG.

(xii) Less cumbersome travel documentation procedures.
(xiii) Reassurance of sovereignty of states. (xiv) More commitment to ECOWAS.
