(i) contains shallow water
(ii) It is a continuation into the of the coastal plain
(iii) It forms a gentle slope into sea
(iv) It is under the influence of wave erosion deposition
(v) It contains lots of planktons
(ii) The main features of ocean deeps are:
(i) They are long nar trenches that plunge as great ocean deeps of over 90
(ii) May or may not be located in the midst of ocean
(i represents the deepest parts of the ocean
(iv) Contains lots of deposits such as oozes clay, etc
(c) The economic importance of continental shelves man;
(i) Continental shelves are the richest fishing grounds in the world due to the abundance of planktons (fish food). These planktons are numerous because of the shallow-ness of the continental shell which enable sunlight to penetrate to the bottom of shelves.
(ii) It provides employment to many people, fishermen
(iii) Development of seaports. This is due the shallow nature of the continental shelves.
