(b) Six benefits Liberia derives from its membership of the ECOWAS:
(i) There has been increase in trade between Liberia and other ECOWAS members
(ii) Liberia was once involved in civil war but is now a peaceful country through the effort of ECOMOG
(iii) Free movement of Liberians within the sub-region has fostered unity and cooperation between Liberia and others
(iv) Road development between Liberia and her neighbours has helped in the transport network of Liberia
(v) Border dispute between Liberia and Sierra Leone has been settled by ECOWAS members
(vi) Liberia's participation in ECOWAS games held in Lagos in 1977 aided understanding and solidarity among the states.
