With the aid of well-labelled diagrams describe three main differences between the landform of any two of the following pairs
(a) Zeugens and yardangs
(b) Waterfalls and gorges
(c) Ria coasts and fiord coasts
(d) Levees and deltas.
(a) Three main differences between Zeugen and Yardangs:
(i) in Zeugen, the hard and soft layer of rocks are arranged in horizontal bands while those ef yardangs are arranged in vertical bands.
(ii) In Zeugen there must be lines of fissure in order for wind abras to perform its work but in yardangs, there will be re. lines of fissure
(iii) Yardangs are easy to form than Zeugen.
(b) Differences between fiord coast and ria coast:
(i) Fiord coasts have been glaciated, rias have not
(ii) The sides of fiord are higher and steeper than those of ria
(iii) The ria gets deeper at its seaward end whereas the deepest part of a fiord is usually some distance up the fiord
(iv) Fiords are deeper than ria coasts.
