Wrong again.. I'm tired oo
We keep on correcting the many mistakes here, it's just tiring.
If the question was ''it.... Easier if he had told us himself'', then we'll say the answer is B Buh the question states ''it
....easier if he told us himself, therefore the answer is A.

Why "would have been" is correct
This question tests Conditional Sentences (Type 3), which talk about things that didn't happen in the past.
The Logic: The sentence is looking back at a past situation. When you see the verb "told" (past tense) in the second half, it implies the event already happened.
The Rule: To describe the hypothetical result of a past action, we use would + have + past participle.
"It would have been easier [result] if he had told us [condition]."
for option C. would had been: This is grammatically impossible. "Would" is always followed by "have," never "had."

"The correct answer is A — 'would be'."
It would be easier if he told us himself.
→ If-clause = past simple ("told") → hypothetical present/future → main clause = would + base verb ("be")
So Option A is correct.

The correct answer is A. It would be easier if told us himself.
It can only be B, if the question was: It would have been easier if he has told us himself
It can only be C, if the question was: It would had been easier if had told us himself.
It can only be D, it the question was: It will be easier if he tells us himself.
The tenses must correspond.
