Infact cold comfort means slight or no consolation 😅..so there's a problem..
Both of them are correct..i.e Option B and C..

the answer is A, cos the question was to give the opposite not meaning..

and cold comfort means:poor or inadequate consolation.

so the opposite should be "adequate..."
